How Gearly uses the result

The calculator adds the measured friction and steel plate thicknesses. It does not invent a clearance specification. A clutch clearance must come from the exact gearbox/service procedure because different transmissions use different methods and limits.

Example 5 friction × 1.55 mm Friction stack = 7.75 mm
Example 4 steel × 1.80 mm Steel stack = 7.20 mm
